Pont d’Iéna, d’une longueur de 140 mètres pour une largueur de 35 mètres, a été construit de 1808 à 1814 par l’ingénieur Lamandé. C’est le premier pont réalisé au lendemain de la victoire de Napoléon à Iéna en 1806. Il comporte cinq arches en arc de cercle de 28 mètres chacune et réalisé en maçonnerie, des becs circulaires et une corniche sur modillon, sa largeur était alors de 14 m. Le pont relie le quai Branly , le Champs de Mars et la Tour Eiffel sur la rive gauche a l’avenue de New York et les jardins du Trocadéro
