Great day out. I would advise to take your time and enjoy every part of it otherwise you can end up being finished in a hour, but it’s an amazing set up. The glass tunnel with sharks swimming around you is incredible. Having had some disappointing experiences with zoos last year, it was refreshing to visit somewhere that you actually see every creature easily. Also the staff are very nice and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

Really liked the penguins. I think this is one of the biggest aquariums in the England. The tunnel gave a really good experience. My one year old daughter was sleeping all the time since we entered the sea life centre, luckily she woke up at the end and we came back to tunnel and spent a lot of time looking at the turtle, jelly fishes etc.. The turtle was also active when we passed through the tunnel for the second time.
Would suggest visiting this place if you are in or near by Birmingham.
Suggest to book tickets online in advance. If you are close to city centre then you can easily walk to this place. Enjoy the experience and walk around the Brindley place for more enjoyment.

Nice place to spend with family and kids. Kids really enjoy a lot to see big fish, seahorses, jellyfish etc. Parking is nearby within 2 minutes. Can complete around 2 to 3 hours. 360 degree tunnel is very nice to take photos and get good views of fish seeing in very close.

So first things first – if you are responsible for the social media content for SEA LIFE Centres, then please do not say fin-tastic or jaw-some review! I am not 5.

So the good… Unlike some reviews, this is not a 50 minute journey around some overly large fish tanks. It could of course be 50 minutes if you fail to take in all there is to offer and move around at a pace that suggests you want to get out ASAP. Yes, some of the exhibits get busy, but on a Sunday in January there were plentiful opportunities to slow down, pause and to enjoy everything. Overall, this was an enjoyable experience.

The bad… £24 entrance ticket does not represent good value. Unfortunately, Merlin Entertainment appears to believe that this pricing structure is acceptable, despite the cost of living crisis. Yes, I get that this is an expensive place to run , but it seems clear that there are a variety of options to enjoy a discounted price if you take advantage of their corporate partners. The problem of course is that this tends to focus on those members of society that can afford to access these options. Now for most of you reading this, it may well be that you don’t particularly care. However, this is a company that charges a good deal to enter some of its other venues and then introduces a stratified system that ‘fast tracks’ those that can afford it.

A beautiful aquarium. The highlights of the show all the penguins they are absolutely fantastic. Differently laid out a lot of ramps to climb. Could be challenging with buggies and prams. The walk through tunnel is nice. Try to pick a day where there’s less people you will enjoy. The gift shop could have been better. Still the best aquarium in the UK is the deep in Hull.
